Technical Coordinator

Location: Alconbury, travel may be required to other sites or stores dependent on business needs
Hours of Work: 40 hours working Monday – Friday, maybe required working weekends and additional hours dependent on business needs.

Purpose of the Role:

  • To support, guide and augment the activities of the Technical Department.
  • The role will provide a broad base of learning and experience in the technical arena. Expand the undertakings of the role to maximise impact both in the pack house and within the grower base so that the information is used interactively.

Main roles and responsibilities:

  • Specification management: ensure raw material and FG specifications are up to date and communicated in a timely manner
  • Utilise Retailer and other third party specification platforms comprehensively

Trade Marketing & Insight Manager

Location: Chatteris, Cambridgeshire with requirement to travel to Customers and other locations dependant on business needs. (Visiting factories in Murcia and Valencia regularly)

Purpose of the Role:

Food Technologist Juice Department

Location: Chatters
Hours of Work: 40 hours, Monday to Friday

Purpose of the Role:

  • Act as a key player within the juice team supporting Technical and NPD projects with customers and ensuring new developments are in line with compliance with customer codes of practice.

Main roles and responsibilities:

  • Liaise regularly with retail customers (primarily Technologists/Technical Managers, Product Developers and Buyers).
  • Close working relationship with our customers wider service teams i.e. Artwork houses and spec checking companies eg Ashbury Labelling Services, as required.

Purpose of the Role:

  • To manage the procurement function based in the UK to meet the CE Tesco contractual requirements; assisting in the development and continuation of global source partnerships through excellent communication and accurate, punctual information.

Section Leader

Location: Chatteris, Cambridgeshire moving to Alconbury, Huntingdonshire in Spring 2017.
Hours of Work: 40 hours, working 5 days in 7 days and includes weekend working. May be required to work additional hours dependent on business needs

Purpose of the Role:

  • To lead your team to deliver customer daily orders in the most cost effective manner whilst ensuring customer specifications and compliance with our site health and safety obligations are adhered to.
  • To work in collaboration and cross functionally across all Operations through the Supply Chain and departments.

Roles and Responsibilities:

NPD Assistant

Purchase Ledger

Purpose of the Role:

Data and Insight Analyst

We have an exciting opportunity at our new Alconbury Weald site for a successful candidate to join the Flowers and Grape business as a Vendor Inventory Management Executive.

Overall Purpose of the Role:

  • Acting as a link between M&S and the MM Commercial teams this role will drive performance of the MMUK/MM Flowers M&S categories through supporting commercial functions with M&S.
  • Success of the role will be measured on YoY improvements in sales, waste & availability as well as the commercial KPIs outlined in the M&S supplier scorecard.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • To work with all key M&S stakeholders whilst working in collaboration with relevant departments including Technical, Procurement, Production and the whole Commercial Team

Overall Purpose of the Role:

  • Manage the day to day activities within the Packhouse to deliver an efficient operation to ensure that customers’ orders are produced on time, safely, to the correct standard of quality and at or below budgeted cost.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Drive production lines to fulfil daily customer orders in the most cost effective way, whilst meeting their specifications, efficient packing operation and maintaining H&S requirements on a day to day basis.
  • Monitor and manage the daily performance of the packhouse by taking a proactive approach to improve underperforming areas through coaching, training and redeployment of skills as necessary.
  • Work closely with the departmental management to implement the daily production plan in order to ensure that resources such as labour, equipment and materials are efficiently allocated and continually monitored against the plan.
  • Work with colleagues to facilitate a programme of maintenance within the factory in order to ensure that equipment is maintained and complies with business and BRC standards.
  • Ensure production start-up checks are carried out before production commences and production procedure checks and other checks sheets are adhered to.
  • Completing production job sheets and taking them to the Production office for processing.
  • Manage staff on a daily basis and address employee relations working in collaboration with HR including conducting disciplinary meetings, absence meetings and supporting all other reasonable employee requests.
  • Participate in daily meetings, reporting and highlighting any areas of concern and recommendations for improvement.
  • Responsible for supporting the delivery of daily, weekly and monthly KPI’s and working within budgetary controls.
  • Lead the production team in delivering a quality focused and efficient packing operation on a daily basis and conduct line balancing exercises against product flow and work rates.
  • Adhere to Company’s clean as you go policy at all times.

MM Printroom

Location: Alconbury, Cambridgeshire
Hours of Work: 40 hours, working 5/7 including weekend working
Salary: £8.00 per hour

Purpose of the role:

  • Ensure all customer production labels are printed efficiently and to the required specification/verification applying the correct label formatting. Run regular data error reports completing through to completion.

Main roles and responsibilities:

  • Continuously monitor the Direct Mail system to ensure all steps in the system operate smoothly from uploading the orders (allocating of carrier, route card printing) through to the printing of the gift card on site
  • Follow S.O.P’s to ensure all checks and reports are completed in a timely fashion and in full.
  • Verify ‘Add on’s’ sheet to ensure all required ‘Add on’s’ have been despatched as per route card total
  • Follow Print Plans to ensure smooth change overs within production.
  • Ensure all label verifications sheets are accurately completed and correct product information sheets are in situ before any labels are taken from the print-room.
  • Report any printing errors caused by wrong information or operative for further reference.
  • Provide technical team with new product label samples for approval.

  • Making sure all designated areas are clean and tidy and relevant cleaning schedules are adhered too.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all cleaning jobs on the Cleaning working / record sheet are carried out at the required times. All doors leading outside of the building must be closed throughout the shift.
  • Any equipment used for cleaning purposes must be authorized by the health and safety Manager or a health & safety representative.
  • Any machinery must be turned off and cleaned in the safe and proper manner.
  • Floor cleaning operating schedule are met and maintained.
  • If you need to move trays and pallets to clean they need to be put back in allocated area at the end of each shift for the start of the next shift.
  • All cleaning materials are put back in cleaning cupboard at end of the shift.
  • Support and assist in maintaining the required hygiene standards within the Company.

Sales and Supply Chain Administrator (12 months fixed contract)

Location: AMT Fruit Ltd., Newmarket, Suffolk

Due to growth of our business in Central Europe we are seeking to recruit a Sales and Supply chain Administrator to join our team.

Duties include:

  • Processing daily orders for Tesco Central Europe (CZ/SL/HU/PL) juice and communicating orders to service provider including d.u dates to be used
  • Monitoring daily stock report ex service provider including d.u dates and cross referencing daily delivery notes
  • Processing daily receiving notes ex Tesco Central Europe (CZ/SL/HU/PL) and all rejections from Tesco depots
  • Organising and coordinating transport for products from suppliers in Europe and communicating new arrivals to service provider, importing new stock details onto Rubicon and receiving in (ascii processing)

    INTAKE
  • To inspect/assess incoming raw material according to the intake procedures and document / report all findings.
  • Temperature checking of product and actions in accordance with Temperature Procedure.
  • To identify non-conforming product and agree corrective actions with internal functions.
  • To fully complete and send supplier reports within agreed time scales, with supportive photographs and details for claim.
  • Responsible to ensure claims are reflective of the raw material specification.
  • Support the business when surveyor (loss adjuster) is required to assess loads.

  • To perform stock re-evaluations as requested through stock age requests.

Hours of Work: 42 hours per week, 4 on 4 off rota

Overall Purpose of the Role:

  • To assist in delivering an effective and efficient operation against daily and weekly targets and plans. Perform an active role in delivering an effective, efficient picking and despatch operation on a day to day basis. Act in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and Health & Safety Procedures.
  • Support all areas of the business where the Supply Chain is crucial to daily practices.

Main responsibilities will include:
Despatch:

  • Ensure that pallet trucks are maintained and checked every day in accordance with related SOP’s.
  • Ensure that stock products have a label with correct amount on the pallet, and correct consignment; all pallets taken in to and out of the stores are scanned in to the correct location.
  • Ensure that pallets moved in and out of the warehouse or elsewhere on site are stacked and strapped in a safe and risk free manner.
  • Adhere and promote the Company’s clean as you go policy at all times.
  • Ensure that Company requirements with regards to the safety, quality and legality of the product are adhered to.

  • Loading and unloading of vehicles and equipment.

MM Operative

Location: Chatteris, Cambridgeshire moving to Alconbury, Huntingdonshire in Spring 2017.
Hours of Work:    35 hours per week, 5 days out of 7 includes weekend working

Purpose of the role:-

  • To be responsible for the movement of dry and live raw materials across intake, production and despatch.
  • To be multi-skilled in all disciplines of the operational areas and support the various functions where the business requires.

Main roles and responsibilities:-

  • Supporting the training strategy and Company plan for General Operatives and new starters as directed by their Section Leaders
  • Support with all Operational areas in accordance with reasonable management request
  • Administer ERP System
  • Communicate with key stakeholders across the business including Drivers and customers 

Warehouse Responsibilities

  • Abide by the Company requirements with regards to safety, quality and ensure legality of products are adhered to.
  • Act accordingly with Health & Safety policy and ensure a safe working environment. 
  • Follow procedures for Warehouse protocols and abide by company policies at all times
  • Manage drivers on site and their paperwork.
  • Assist in preparation of the stores for on-site efficiency.
  • Conduct administrative task with the Enterprise Resource Planning (“ERP”) System or paperwork when required.
  • Ensure that pallet trucks are maintained and checked every day in accordance with related SOP’s.
  • Ensure that stock products have a label with correct amount on the pallet, and correct consignment; all pallets taken in to and out of the stores are scanned in to the correct location.
  • Ensure that pallets moved in and out of the warehouse or elsewhere on site are stacked and strapped in a safe and risk free manner.
  • Assist with trailer plans, intake and despatch paperwork as and when required. 
  • Demonstrate an understanding and deliver Key Performance Indicators (“KPI’s”)

Intake Dry and Live Goods Responsibilities

  • Checking and inputting deliveries with the incoming stock. Checking the quality of incoming stock.
  • Waste management - ensuring all damaged stock is counted, stored, reported to Manager to enable appropriate management.
  • Carry out stock count of raw materials on a regular basis as requested by Line Manager and amend Rubicon system accordingly.
  • Supporting the production team with picking and delivering to lines.
  • Unload and confirm arrival quantities against expected consignment reports and liaise with Quality Control and supply chain teams.
  • Ensure products are scanned and located correctly to the stores using the Warehouse Management System (“WMS”).
  • Liaise with Intake to fast track any product required for the Production lines.
  • Ensuring all products are scanned to works orders.
  • Ensuring all returned products are accurately recorded and labelled with the correct number of boxes and stem counts.
  • Scan all returning products to their correct locations.
  • To pick stock based on age and ratio.
  • To pick conditioning when required

Despatch Responsibilities

  • Working as a team to ensure the picking, scanning, labelling, and palletisation of all customers finished goods meet the requirements set out by each customer’s specific guidelines / Supplier handbook. 
  • Engage with production teams to ensure depot out-loads times and volumes are fulfilled - On Time, In Full.
  • Loading and unloading of vehicles and equipment.
  • Generating advanced shipment notification (“ASNs”) through the ERP System

  • Ensure all gift cards have been sleeved, verified and delivered to the Packhouse in the required time for production requirements.

  • Ensure label verification sheets are checked and sign for before labels are released to production.
  • Monitor Customer orders to ensure correct labels are issued to the pack house within required
  • Time scales.
  • Follow Print Plans to ensure smooth change overs within production.

General Responsibilities
