Intake, Store and Picking Manager - Flowers

Location: Alconbury Weald, Huntingdon
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week includes weekend working

Purpose of the Role:

    Accountable for the end to end management of your business unit including managing efficiency, productivity, people planning and budget management.
    To lead and manage all direct reports to deliver customer daily orders in the most cost effective manner; whilst meeting customer specifications and delivering within the MM Flowers budgeted cost, observing all site health and safety obligations.

Main roles and responsibilities:

  • Manage all of the processes, and provide support to the Packhouse through the effective management of stock movements to the production lines.
  • Responsible for the provision of KPI Measures
  • Materials – Control of stock booked in, correct stock rotation and picking of stock for orders, correct production bookings ie. Material variance
  • To lead your Section/Team Leaders and Operative staff to deliver a quality and customer focused efficient packing operation on a day to day basis.

Production Manager

Purpose of the Role:

Logistics Manager – Inbound

Location: Chatteris, Cambridgeshire
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday

Purpose of the Role:

    To manage the Supply Chain function with specific regard to the logistical planning, supply, storage and delivery of raw materials. To deliver an effective and efficient plan against daily, weekly and annual forecast and targets. To plan, monitor analyse and communicate the Logistic activities to the senior operations and planning teams, to ensure it stays in line with the businesses strategy, delivering ‘World Class’ levels of operational performance.

Main roles and responsibilities:

  • Working closely with the planning and commercial teams to manage the in-bound logistic function in the Supply Chain including peak strategy planning.

Technical Administrator

Location: Soham, Cambridgeshiree
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday

Purpose of the Role:

    To provide the technical department with supplier facing (and on occasion customer facing) administrative support; supplier due diligence documentation, TN11 administration, PPPL administration, Sedex compliance/reporting and monitoring of 3rd party ethical non-compliance.

Main roles and responsibilities:

  • You will be required to provide data support for the management team in analysing and reporting on some of the Key KPIs set by our customer
  • Keep an up to date approved supplier list detailing all DD requirements and track/amend as appropriate
  • At the start of each season, send out due diligence pack to all suppliers via the AMT Technical App

Planner - Flowers

Location: Alconbury Huntingdonshire
Hours of Work: 40 hours, working 5 days in 7 days per week including weekend working. Weekend work will be required and additional hours maybe needed dependent on business needs.

Purpose of the Role:

  • The planning of fruit production by individual line numbers and SKU’s using the Rubicon Warehouse management system in order to ensure that orders are completed on time and as efficiently as possible.
  • Monitor current raw material stock holding levels against forecasted short – mid-term order volumes. Management of warehouse capacity along with the procurement teams ensuring sufficient supply to service customer requirements whilst ensuring the warehouse capacity isn’t exceeded.

Main roles and responsibilities:

  • Creating demand and usage from weekly forecasts given by commercial department for both raw materials and packaging.
  • Management of the ERP systems monitoring all forecasts and making necessary adjustments with suppliers and production schedules.
  • Ensuring accuracy of the MRP System.
  • Communicating effectively with all departments on a daily basis.
  • S&OP Processes matching sales demand with factory capacity and vice versa.

Purpose of the Role:

    To assist in delivering an effective and efficient yard control operation within daily and weekly target plans. Ensure customer specifications and compliance with our site health and safety obligations are adhered to whilst working in collaboration with other business areas.

Main roles and responsibilities:

  • Ensure that Daily safety checks are carried out on MHE and Recycling equipment in use in the yard environment and is used in adherence to the SOP’s in place.
  • Ensure the control and booking on of equipment received from supplier is carried out
  • Working as a team to ensure the site recycling operations are carried out in an effective and controlled manner whilst maintaining the site health and safety standards.

Purpose of the Role:

  • To assist with the pack house administration to ensure that it is carried out efficiently, accurately and in a timely manner.
  • As part of the administration team, assist with the collation and inputting of daily production information into the Rubicon Warehouse Management System.

    Manage the day to day activities within the Packhouse to deliver an efficient operation to ensure that customers’ orders are produced on time, safely, to the correct standard of quality and at or below budgeted cost.

Main roles and responsibilities:

  • Drive production lines to fulfil daily customer orders in the most cost effective way, whilst meeting their specifications, efficient packing operation and maintaining H&S requirements on a day to day basis.
  • Support Senior Operations Manager with reliable and accurate information and analysis regarding departmental performance.
  • Monitor and manage the daily performance of the packhouse by taking a proactive approach to improve underperforming areas through coaching, training and redeployment of skills as necessary.
  • Responsible for ensuring that teams are trained in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures, Health & Safety Procedures and Product Specifications in order to ensure that standards are achieved and maintained.
  • Work closely with the departmental management to implement the daily production plan in order to ensure that resources such as labour, equipment and materials are efficiently allocated and continually monitored against the plan.
  • Work with colleagues to facilitate a programme of maintenance within the factory in order to ensure that equipment is maintained and complies with business and BRC standards.
  • Ensure production start-up checks are carried out before production commences and production procedure checks and other checks sheets are adhered to.
  • Train and motivate staff to the standard required, whilst informing management of any further training required or completed.
  • Liaise with quality and technical departments to make sure all customers quality specification are met and maintained.
  • Manage staff on a daily basis and address employee relations working in collaboration with HR including conducting disciplinary meetings, absence meetings and supporting all other reasonable employee requests.
  • Participate in daily meetings, reporting and highlighting any areas of concern and recommendations for improvement.
  • Responsible for supporting the delivery of daily, weekly and monthly KPI’s and working within budgetary controls.
  • Step up to Shift Manager when Business needs to Support Operations Manager.
  • Lead the production team in delivering a quality focused and efficient packing operation on a daily basis and conduct line balancing exercises against product flow and work rates.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Experience within a supervisory/ team leading role within Fresh Produce / Food Production / FMCG environment essential along with operating within a KPI’s driven structure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
  • Microsoft office experience - word, excel.
  • Proven experience in driving through continuous improvement activities.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills.
  • Excellent leadership skills and experience of leading and managing people.
  • Flexible approach to work.
  • Experience in a labour intensive, high volume, fast moving environment supplying retailers, probably gained within the Food, Fresh Produce or Horticultural sectors.
  • Experience of operating packing machinery would be an advantage.

Logistics Co-ordinator

Location: Soham, Cambridgeshire
Hours of Work: 40 hours – Tuesday to Saturday

Purpose of the Role:

    Working as part of the logistics team administrating importing, clearance and arrivals of all Produce from supplier to AMT Fruit Ltd / MMUK CE and Tesco depots. Delivering a quality, accurate, cost efficient, seamless service to AMT and our Stakeholders.
  • Manage supplier, manifest data supply
  • Ensure accurate administration functions are met to provide a seamless intake service for all AMT and MMUK departments and our Stakeholders

Main roles and responsibilities:

  • Liaising with our clearing agents to clear goods through customs and communicate issues with our seasonal supply base to resolve any clearance issues.
  • Monitor vessel departures and arrivals to maximise free port time and reduce stock holding at port and at depot.
  • Monitoring of daily intakes against booking sheets / booking slots. Management of times, expected and actual and communications to hauliers, supplier and Tesco AMT team when issues / delays occur. Re-booking new times / days as required and communicating to all departments within AMT, PPL, Haulier and supplier as appropriate, with information and hard copy documentation information as required
  • Reduce transport, freight costs by maximising load fills.
  • Manage / organise - all transport - freight from port to Packhouse as required against current supply base requirements.
  • Invoice checking / general administration.
  • Consignment / Shipping notification / Manifest automated up loads, set ups on Rubicon. Make sure all loading notifications are received from our seasonal supply base in a timely manner and all data required by AMT Fruit Ltd is administrated onto our system.
  • Keep weekly transport, supplier and data analysis required reports updated.

Warehouse Operative

Location: Alconbury
Hours of Work: 40 hours, working 4on 4off
Salary: £8.00 per hour + an extra 25% for overtime

Purpose of the Role:

    To assist in delivering an effective and efficient picking and despatch operation within daily and weekly target plans. Ensure customer specifications and compliance with our site health and safety obligations are adhered to whilst working in collaboration with other business areas.

Main roles and responsibilities:

  • Ensure that pallet trucks are maintained daily and stock products are correctly labelled
  • Ensure that pallets moved in and out of the warehouse or elsewhere on site are stacked and strapped in a safe and risk free manner ensure store space is utilised efficiently
  • Working as a team to ensure the picking, scanning, labelling, and palletisation of all customers finished goods meet the requirements set out by each customer’s specific guidelines / Supplier handbook.
  • Engage with production teams to ensure depot out-loads times and volumes are fulfilled - On Time, In Full.
  • Assist with trailer plans, intake and despatch paperwork and updating the internal computer system
  • Ensure that the RFID compliance is met within the supply chain (PAV scanning)
  • Positively promote a Health and Safety culture
